Six 90 minute Classes
(SPANISH INSTRUCTION IS AVAILABLE IN THIS CLASS)
This six session course is a project-based exploration of basic crochet stitches and techniques. A spring time version of our classic Pasito sampler cowl (designed by Meryl herself) will introduce students to a variety of stitches combined to make a beautiful pattern; you will learn basic finishing techniques and pattern reading as well.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HOMEWORK ASSIGNED EACH WEEK. EACH CLASS WILL COVER A NEW SKILL AND COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT WILL DEPEND ON THE KNITTING YOU DO INDEPENDENTLY.
- Hook and yarn hand positions
- Single Crochet
- Half double crochet
- Double crochet
- Turning Chains
- Following a basic pattern and common abbreviations
- Combining stitches to create texture
- Understanding gauge
- Finishing techniques
For this class you will need:
- 2 Skeins Berocco Pima 100
- Size H crochet hook
- Darning needles
- Removable stitch markers
Any supplies purchased from The Local Yarn Store for use in this class will be discounted 10%.
