Two sessions, two weeks apart.
Taught by Gretchen Fancher
Saturday 1/22/22 & 2/05.22, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
On Zoom

If you've been wanting to learn two color brioche this is a gentle introduction to the technique. We'll be making Jennifer Shiels Toland's Skreppa cowl, which provides lots of practice with the basic two color brioche before introducing the increases and decreases at the end.

Class is being offered on Zoom, but students are encouraged to come into the store for free help between sessions if necessary.

Skills Required: Must be comfortable knitting in the round and be able to confidently work 1x1 ribbing without assistance.

Yarn - Approximately 150 yards each of sport or light DK weight yarn one light and one dark color. (Note, the pattern calls for fingering, but heavier yarn is easier when you're learning new techniques.) It is recommended that you plan to have the light color be your main color as it displays the branching design more clearly.

Recommended Options at TLYS: Bella Cash, Awa, Arroyo, Cobasi DKKenzie

Needles: 24" circular needle appropriate for your yarn choice.

Accessories: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Pattern: Skreppa
