Join Jody as she tests her very first sweater design!
Knit a sweater that looks subdued in the front, but brings a surprising celebration of color in the back!
Party in the Back is worked mostly flat, from the bottom up. The fronts and backs are worked separately, then seamed - allowing you to choose a fun and vibrant pop of color for the back of your sweater. The shoulders are joined with a visible Three Needle Bind Off, and the sleeves are picked up at the armhole and worked in the round.
This drop-shoulder sweater is meant to be worn with lots of positive ease, for a comfy, casual, lightly-cozy layer.

For this test knit, you will receive a free copy of the pattern, along with any updates and improvements made throughout the process.
PLEASE KNIT A SWATCH BEFORE THE FIRST MEET-UP (if you need help picking a size to knit, this will enable Jody to best assist you!) Knit your swatch in Striped Stockinette - alternating 4 rows of the sock/fingering with 4 rows of the suri/mohair. Note - Block your swatch as you will your finished garment and allow it to dry fully before measuring.

Skill level: MUST be able to cast on, knit and purl flat and in the round, cast off, use either double pointed needles or magic loop, and use matress stitch for basic seaming. Basic understanding of pattern reading is strongly encouraged.
This is not a class, it is an opportunity to work on a project alongside other knitters with a teacher on hand in the event of questions or issues during your knitting process.
