Knit Socks

Have you been wanting to knit socks, but don’t know how to magic loop? Already know how to magic loop, but haven’t tried making socks yet?  This class is perfect for curious intermediate knitters wanting to take that next step into small circumference knitting.

Following the I’m So Basic Sock pattern by Summer Lee, Jody will guide you through the mechanics of shaping a heel flap, picking up gusset stitches and grafting a toe.  In four classes, you will have one finished sock and the confidence to start your second one!

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HOMEWORK ASSIGNED EACH WEEK.  EACH CLASS WILL COVER A NEW SKILL AND COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT WILL DEPEND ON THE KNITTING YOU DO INDEPENDENTLY.

Skill level: MUST be able to cast on, knit and purl in the round, decrease, pick up stitches, cast off and use either double pointed needles or magic loop.

Any supplies purchased from The Local Yarn Store for use in this class will be discounted 10%.
