Tweens Beginner Knitting (Ages 10 - 12)

Eight 60 minute Classes

This eight week class series is perfect for aspiring knitters ages 10-12!

Students will learn to cast on, knit, purl and seam their work while making a phone cozy in the first two classes.  In weeks 3 - 8, students will use the skills they’ve learned (and additionally learn to decrease) while making a hat.

This class is aimed at older children who have little to no experience knitting, but are curious and eager makers.

Materials Needed:

• Yarn - 1 ball Universal Deluxe Worsted

                         1 ball Universal Deluxe Bulky

• Needles - US 9 Straight Needles, US 11 16” Circular Needles and US 11 DPNs

Class will be capped at 6 students. Please include all contact information, email, and phone number, when signing up online.

Any supplies purchased from The Local Yarn Store for use in this class will be discounted 10%.
