Join Jody as you knit your Rhinebeck Sweater! This year, we've only got 6 weeks together, so we chose a selection of vests - perfect for layering during your visit to the New York Sheep & Wool Festival.

First off, we have Nordic Bloom by Caitlin Hunter, an aran/light-bulky weight stranded colorwork pattern that can be made as a vest or a cardigan. It works up quickly in the round and then it is steeked - EEK!

Another option is Building Blocks Cardi, by Aimee Sher. This pattern has endless options to customize your favorite sweater or vest. It also includes directions for bust shaping and sleeve opening adjustments, to accommodate many body types. 

You can also try your hand at brioche-tuck with the Detroit Slipover by Sara Ottosson. 

If you've got another vest you'd rather make, please feel free! Or if you're not inspired by these three and want more suggestions, just ask!

This is a great opportunity to use stash yarn, but if you've had your eye on something in the shop you'll save 15% on any yarn purchased for this KAL.

Skill level:

MUST be able to cast on, knit and purl in the round, cast off and use either double pointed needles or magic loop.  Basic understanding of pattern reading is strongly encouraged.

If you're unsure you'll be able to complete the project, please ask for guidance before signing up.

This is not a class, it is an opportunity to work on a project alongside other knitters with a teacher on hand in the event of questions or issues during your knitting process.

PLEASE KNIT A SWATCH BEFORE THE FIRST MEET-UP (if you need help picking a size to knit, this will enable Jody to best assist you!)

Note- You should always knit your swatch the same way that the pattern is knit—in the round, or flat, depending on which vest you choose. Block your swatch as you will your finished garment and allow it to dry fully before measuring.
